Vigil to honor the life of Sam Nordquist

Submission from @transtrenderz

February 28
6-7PM
Parc de l’Espoir, 1336 St-Catherine East

ABOUT

Sam Nordquist was a black trans man who got lynched in upstate NY. His mother said that he was kind and loving, the type to be quiet but give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Sam Nordquist was also a rapper, a lover, and according to his friends a huge stoner who would’ve loved if we smoked one in his honor.

Let’s show Sam that he is loved and that even though we weren’t lucky enough to get to meet him while he was alive, we will miss him.

PROGRAM

The vigil will be followed by a gathering space for Black Trans people who would like to mourn and process their feelings with community.
